What to Know

The Lincoln Mark LT is a rebadged “Luxury” F150. There is a reason it only lasted for 3 model years– $60k was a lot for a full size, non diesel pickup that could have been had for $30k down the street. Power is adequate for a full size truck, and the interior is upscale for a pickup. Ride quality is on par with the F150, quiet and relatively smooth. They are moderately reliable and have fuel economy as to be expected with a full size pickup.

Coil packs are the only “issue” that is common to many Mark LT’s. This is considered a routine maintenance item and should probably be replaced every 60-80k miles. Bad coil packs can cause rough idling, misfires, loss of power and poor fuel economy. These symptoms can likely be discovered during a brief test drive.
